Watch the always innovative and imaginative Warby Parker take on Godard’s “Breathless,” with its newest video ad, “Le Chat Cambrioleur.” Featuring models Martine Langatta and Diego Ongaro as a modern-day Seberg and Belmondo (this time, in glasses), “Le Chat” is a strikingly authentic nod to the 1960 classic French film that sells both the Warby Parker charm and, of course, those great glasses.
Watch Dior’s newest mini-film, “And Dior Created Woman,” a throwback Parisian romp for the brand’s Addict perfume. Starring model Daphne Groeneveld as Bardot 2.0, the short features the beautiful blond dancing on the beach, dancing in the street and dancing on a jukebox in an old-style cafe to French “cha cha” pop–complete with bright-colored animation–all against a St. Tropez backdrop. If you look hard enough, you’ll see that the perfume makes a few appearances, too!
Watch Funny or Die’s “Perry Michaelson: Monster of Photography,” a spoof on the temperament of controversial fashion lensman Terry Richardson. Warning: from beginning to end, this video is hilarious but more than a little NSFW.
Watch Chanel’s stunning new “ULTRA: A Story of Contrasts,” an under-a-minute video featuring a beautiful pair of hands wearing beautiful pieces from the fashion house’s newest fine jewelry collection. Shot at angles with dramatic use of light and shadows, the black and white commercial also sets the mood with sultry Kraftwerk-type music, a pyramidal box clutch and close-ups of iconic Chanel tweed.
Watch Karlie Kloss’s screen test with W Magazine entertainment director Lynn Hirschberg, where the 19 year old model talks about dividing her life between high school in St. Louis and Haute Couture shows in Paris. Admitting that sometimes she “doesn’t really get fashion,” Kloss also discusses how ballet helped her become aware of her physical self, a skill that helps her confidence as a woman–and in those spontaneous moments where she finds herself being asked by Carine Roitfeld to dance in a leotard around a Prada store.
