Today, we celebrate the birthday of “Me at the Zoo,” YouTube’s first official video, which user “jawed” uploaded on this day all the way back in 2005. Though the video platform itself launched a couple of months earlier on Valentine’s Day, it took a bit of time for user-generated content to catch hold. Once it did, the internet and all our social media feeds would never be the same.
