L2’s latest Insight Report on The Digital Organization examines the digital strategy of seven Luxury and CPG enterprises. By dividing the total number of employees by the number of roles with “digital” or “e-commerce” in the title, L2 arrived at the Digital Talent Quotient. L’Oréal has a Digital Talent Quotient of 1.8%, which means two percent of its employees work in digital roles. However, more is not always better when it comes to digital talent. Kering, for example, has a Digital Talent Quotient of 3.1% and scored Average in L2’s Fashion Index and Feeble in the Watches & Jewelry Index. And Gifted enterprise Estée Lauder Companies has median digital quotient of 1.6%.
