Last month, at our first clinic of the year (Focus: 2013), L2 members received a half-day tutorial on the Chinese luxury slowdown, New Retail, and the ‘Enterprise Effect.’ The second session on the new landscape of retail featured presentations by SapientNitro’s Zach Paradis on the personalized digital shopping experience, and’s co-founder and VP of creative and partnerships Alisa Gould-Simon, who discussed how users can curate their own personalized mobile fashion magazine on her app.

L2 events are generally closed-door to the public, but as an exception we’ve excerpted a clip from Gould-Simon’s presentation, where she discusses the changes in the shopping experience and the fashion industry (“the democratization of fashion”) and how her app reflects this shift and answers the age-old “Where did you get that?” question.
