Shoe brand Stuart Weitzman is launching its first Instagram ad on Wednesday. The ad will feature Cinemagraphs from Ann Street Studio and highlight several spring styles. Ranked 27th (of 90 Fashion brands) and Gifted in L2’s Digital IQ Index: Fashion, Stuart Weitzman is becoming more innovative on digital and social media. It was among the 15% of Fashion brands in L2’s 2015 Fashion Index to offer product customization, allowing users to select their color and fabric type.

The average follower count for Fashion brands in L2’s Intelligence Report: Instagram was 1.2 million, driven part by iconic fashion brands (Chanel, Christian Louboutin) and part by social media savvy brands (Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs).


As of now, Stuart Weitzman’s follower count of 180,000 is low for the fashion industry. Ads could potentially raise that overnight, as they have for brands such as Michael Kors and Stella Artois.
