Target partnered with TBS to enable viewers to sync their PC or tablet with to view set items (provided by Target) as they appeared. Items are available to browse until April 15, and a sidebar on the site lists recent Tweets about episodes.


Product placement has long been used as a strategy for promoting products, and many blogs have been dedicated to finding exact outfits and bedroom furniture of TV characters. Sites such as and are turning that interest into a business that get a cut from retailers each time their site leads to a purchase.


Target is the first brand to provide the link from TV to its e-commerce site, as well as introduce simultaneous shopping on tablets and PCs. 87% of U.S. TV-viewers look at a second screen while watching television, and those admiring the furniture, clothes or gadgets could be a gold mine for e-commerce sites.
