What makes a good hair care Instagram post? L2 released this week an Insight Report on Social Media and Hair Care brands, and found that babies, celebrities, and pastel colors dominate the top ten posts in engagement. Two of the top ten were babies posted by @carolsdaughter. Six were posts by @pravana, showing pastel hair colors, and two were celebrity images.
The top five players in terms of engagement on Instagram (L’Oréal Paris, Carol’s Daughter, Revlon, Pravana, and Bumble and Bumble) are also the top five brands by community size, reflecting the high organic engagement on the social platform. As shown in the graph below, increasing the quantity of posts per week can increase engagement and cultivate interactions with the brand.
More reason for brands to invest in growing their community sizes on Facebook, and leveraging the organic reach while it lasts.
