Clarins is offering an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Ecommerce to head up in North America. The position reports to the Executive Director, E-commerce & Digital Development and is based in our New York City office.

Role Mission: This role will be focused on developing and executing strategies to drive online sales targeting including promotion and marketing planning, merchandise demand planning, and assuring an optimized site experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a retail background and the ability to be flexible and action-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

The Ecommerce Manager oversees and manages all functions related to the planning, development and delivery of the Mugler eCommerce storefront as well as all sales and marketing activities required to meet revenue targets.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial and Online Activity

  • Drive year over year growth for eCommerce division, while achieving both financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Manage daily sales forecasts
  • Deliver weekly & monthly reporting on site and campaign performance.

Marketing & Merchandising Planning

  • Development of Ecommerce marketing plan; including sales projections and performance metrics.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of marketing plan including site creative development, content updates, promotions setup and email campaigns.
  • Leverage data to develop additional communication strategies around business rules, segmentation, triggered campaigns, etc.
  • Actively manage contact list growth and health to ensure loyalty and engagement
  • Work collaboratively across will all cross functional partners to ensure objectives and KPI’s are achieved.
  • Manage all merchandising planning including demand planning, allocation, gwps, and monitoring sell-out on limited editions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of product information, images, and categorization.
  • Actively manage contact list growth and health to ensure loyalty and engagement

Site Optimization

  • Utilize A/B testing with quantifiable test objectives and actionable results across marketing and on-site merchandising efforts including emails, homepage, landing pages and product pages.
  • Research, analyze, prioritize, and execute on-site initiatives, marketing campaigns and strategies to increase site traffic, incremental revenue, and new customer acquisition.
  • Utilize customer and site visitor analytics to make data-driven decisions and derive insightful enhancement hypothesis that will optimize the shopping and navigation experience.
  • Make recommendations to optimize web functionality, site architecture, user interface and navigation.
  • Monitor competitive activity and react to online trends and best practices.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of Ecommerce management experience
  • Fragrance/Cosmetics experience a plus
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized, decisive and results oriented
  • Ability to prioritize & multi-task in a dynamic, creative, challenging & fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must be proficient with Excel & PowerPoint for in-depth analysis, reports & presentations
