While the majority of mass Beauty brands officially distribute through Amazon, most prestige brands keep the e-tailer at arms-length. Amazon's Luxury Beauty Store has had limited success in attracting prestige brand participation compared to online competitors like Bloomingdale's or Sephora. Meanwhile mass brands are finding increasing opportunities for distribution through Subscribe & Save, Amazon Prime Pantry and Amazon Fresh.
