Amazon's dynamic pricing models and third-party merchants are perceived as weapons of commoditization in the Fashion sector. However, the widespread belief that third-party activity depresses Amazon prices is not entirely accurate. To investigate the Amazon pricing ecosystem, L2 tracked the prices of 781 Fashion products sold by both Amazon and third-party merchants over a six-month period.
