Tentpole programming took another hit with the 88th Academy Awards, which fell to an eight-year low in overall audience size and a 20-year low in the 18-to-49 target demographic. Brands are struggling to achieve a significant digital echo effect from their premium TV spots and capitalize on the tremendous exposure.
