Social media has become an important branding tool for the Hair Care & Color industry, particularly for smaller brands trying to step out of the shadows of larger enterprises. While Facebook remains the leader in terms of brand adoption and community size, Instagram has shown the highest community growth; YouTube and Pinterest have suffered high levels of account abandonment.
