While both Instagram and Snapchat are relative newcomers to generating revenue, Instagram has followed a more defined roadmap, mirroring Facebook's proven combination of sponsored content plus an (increasingly) algorithmic feed. On the other hand, Snapchat’s suite of ad products has evolved in tandem with innovation on the platform itself, continually introducing new ways for users to engage and unique opportunities for brands to advertise.
