OTC Index brands have been slower to transition to digital than other CPG categories, with all but one of the OTC categories ranked Challenged in the L2 Digital IQ Index: Personal Care. Despite their hesitance to invest in digital initiatives, online sales accounted for 61 percent of the growth in the sector between May 2016 and April 2017, suggesting a change in consumer behavior and a demand for more robust e-commerce strategies.
