China now outnumbers the U.S. and Germany for the largest number of outbound tourists and is on course to become the largest domestic travel market. To capture this growth opportunity, prestige hotel brands must build brand awareness and drive bookings with consumers who have low awareness of international brands and few loyalties. A robust digital marketing presence can level the playing field, especially for brands with no Chinese presence.
