With e-commerce sales in the luxury industry projected to double by 2020, Watches & Jewelry industry executives are turning to digital channels in search of elusive growth amid a global industry downturn. However, brand equity does not transfer proportionately online and many brands continue to under-invest in their e-commerce capabilities, especially in European markets, allowing competitors and grey market retailers to win market share.
