Winners this week: Lynda and LinkedIn. LinkedIn is most under-hyped social networked, and while Lynda is a solid company it has a long way to go in K-12 education. Textbooks (expensive ones) still prevail in the category, providing an opportunity for a digital learning provider

In the election: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton should be the winner, although data shows that younger people are not growing to be more liberal than their older counterparts. Millennials between the ages of 25 and 33 favor democrats by a 17% margin vs. 15% for those 18 to 25-years-old.

Are cameras losing in the digital age? Depends on your perspective. When phone cameras are added to the mix, growth is astonishing.

Reality TV is losing – which arguably makes the entire world a winner. Viacom reported an $800 million write-down due to underperforming shows.
